A Partner Who Listens First

We bring senior HR expertise together with genuine cultural understanding. Our team includes a Senior HR Consultant with extensive experience inside Indigenous organizations, bringing first-hand understanding of culturally informed HR practice so we start from relationship and context, not from a template. What we see in practice is that the strongest people programs in Indigenous organizations are the ones built with the community, and we've been trusted with exactly this work building culturally aligned compensation programs for First Nations and Métis governments, and supporting Indigenous organizations across BC in policy, recruitment, job descriptions, and immigration.

Generic HR Doesn't Understand the Context You Work In

Indigenous organizations carry responsibilities that off-the-shelf HR was never designed for to community, to culture, and to a way of working that puts relationships first. The picture is familiar: HR policies and pay programs that don't reflect your culture or governance, consultants who don't take the time to understand your community, recruitment that struggles to find people who fit, capacity stretched thin across many mandates. And the frustration of explaining your context over and over to advisors who don't really get it. HR for Indigenous organizations should honour culture, not flatten it. The right partner listens first, builds relationships, and designs people solutions that fit your community not a template borrowed from somewhere else.

  • What are Indigenous HR services? HR support designed specifically for First Nations, Métis, and other Indigenous organizations including policy, compensation, recruitment, and workforce planning that respect community culture, governance, and ways of working.
  • Do you have experience with Indigenous organizations? Yes. We've supported First Nations and Métis governments, Indigenous-sector service agencies, and Indigenous tourism organizations across BC spanning compensation, policy, recruitment, and immigration.
  • How do engagements typically begin? With a conversation. We take time to understand your organization and community before recommending anything because the right people solutions start with relationship.
  • Do you adapt to different governance structures across Indigenous organizations? Yes. We work with band councils, treaty governments, Métis governments, Indigenous-sector service agencies, and urban Indigenous organizations adapting our recommendations to the governance reality of each. HR that works for a Chief and Council is structured differently from HR that works for an Indigenous-sector non-profit, and we know the difference.
  • How do you ensure HR work reflects our culture, not just regulation? By listening first, and asking before we draft. Policy, compensation, recruitment, and the everyday HR experience can all be shaped around cultural protocols, community values, and the governance structures specific to your organization. We bring the HR rigour; you bring the cultural ground. Together, we shape something that fits.
