Hi, I'm Katrina — founder of Evoke. After more than 25 years in HR and 7 in immigration, I've learned that good HR doesn't look the same in every organization. My strengths lie in leading HR strategy, designing workforce and succession plans, building fair pay programs, and helping employers and newcomers navigate immigration. I love the strategic work, and I love the pivot just as much: a public-sector restructure one week, a small business building its first HR foundation the next. I listen closely, read a business quickly, and know this work by heart — I shape it to your organization, not the other way around. I'm a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), so we can walk with your people from the first offer letter through to permanent residency. At Evoke, I bring the care, attention, and steadiness that people decisions deserve, because every employee, every owner, every newcomer building a life in Canada is counting on it being done right. That's what I built Evoke to do.

Hi, I'm Cheryl — and after more than 25 years of senior HR leadership across complex, multi-site environments spanning public sector, private sector, and Indigenous governance, I've come to believe that good HR is one of the quietest, most powerful ways to change a workplace for the better. My strengths lie in building inclusive cultures, modernizing policy and systems, leading through complex employee relations, and helping leaders grow. I bring a deep commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation — and to translating the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action into real, everyday practice. At Evoke, I work alongside organizations who care about their people, helping them shape the HR function their workforce actually deserves.

My strengths lie in compliance, contract administration, records, and clear client communication that holds everything together. I’ve Been Where You Are

My journey into immigration consulting is both personal and professional. Twenty years ago, my family and I were living in the UK, searching for a new place to call home. We wanted to settle somewhere that would allow our children to enjoy childhood to the fullest. As we experienced the fresh air, the vast spaces, and breathtaking beauty, we knew that Beautiful British Columbia was the exact right place for us.

It took us a full three years to receive our permanent residence, but we made the most of our temporary visas in the meantime, exploring different areas from Port Moody to Abbotsford. In 2015 we settled in Chilliwack, and it’s never felt easier to call somewhere home.

My own story of immigration and my robust human resources experience make me your ideal HR and Immigration Consultant. Whether you’re a business expanding your team or an individual navigating the immigration process, I’m here to guide you at every step, ensuring you feel valued and supported.
