Practice Support Assistant (Immigration-Focused)

Contact Us

Evoke HR & Immigration Inc. is a growing boutique consulting firm built on a simple belief: important work deserves to be done thoughtfully.

We support organizations in building strong workplaces, and we support individuals and families navigating the Canadian immigration process. Both require care, precision, and professionalism.

Immigration work often happens at significant life crossroads. Behind every application is someone building a future. We take that responsibility seriously.

As Evoke continues to grow, we are hiring a Part-Time Practice Support Assistant, with a primary focus on immigration file support.

This is a remote role; however, candidates must be located within reasonable proximity to Chilliwack, BC, as occasional in-person meetings may be required.

The Work

This role supports Evoke’s immigration practice under the supervision of a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant.

You will play a key behind-the-scenes role in ensuring client files are accurate, organized, and progressing smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities – Immigration Support

• Collecting and organizing client documentation

• Reviewing documents for completeness and consistency

• Preparing draft application forms for review

• Managing file checklists and tracking deadlines

• Assembling polished submission packages

• Communicating with clients in a professional, friendly, and reassuring manner

• Maintaining secure and accurate digital records

Secondary Responsibilities – HR Client & Project Support (as needed)

• Formatting policies, procedures, and client materials

• Preparing presentation documents

• Updating tracking tools and spreadsheets

• Supporting project coordination and follow-up

This is not a consulting role. It is a high-trust support role within a boutique firm that values careful, detailed work.

What to Expect

• Approximately 12 hours per week, scheduled across 2–3 weekdays

• Remote work structure, with occasional in-person meetings in Chilliwack

• Direct collaboration with Evoke’s founder

• Clear quality standards and professional expectations

• Opportunity for the role to grow as the practice expands

Compensation of $25–$30 per hour, reflective of experience

This is a structured part-time position designed for someone who values meaningful work and steady contribution.

Who You Are

You are someone who:

• Is highly detail-oriented and accurate

• Writes clearly and communicates warmly

• Is organized, responsive, and dependable

• Is comfortable working independently in a remote environment

• Values confidentiality and discretion

• Takes pride in producing polished, professional work

• Is confident navigating digital systems and online portals

You have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), are comfortable using SharePoint and secure document platforms, and are proficient in Adobe for document assembly and editing.

Experience in immigration, legal, or HR administrative work is an asset.

Most importantly, you care about doing work properly and supporting people during important moments in their lives.

If this sounds like your kind of role, we would love to hear from you.

Please send a brief introduction and resume outlining your experience to hello@evokehr.ca
