Build your consulting career with a growing boutique firm that loves HR
Evoke HR & Immigration Inc. is a young, successful boutique consulting firm built on a simple belief: great workplaces don’t happen by accident — they are designed, nurtured, and led with intention.
HR isn’t just what we do. It’s what we care about.
After 25 years in the profession, our founder created Evoke to support organizations in building workplaces where people can do their best work and have a genuinely positive employee experience. We stay current on legislation, best practices, and evolving workplace realities because learning never stops — and neither does our commitment to doing excellent work.
Evoke is woman-founded and intentionally built around the idea that ambitious careers and real life can coexist. The firm was created to support meaningful professional work alongside full lives, and we are committed to creating an environment where talented people — especially women — can grow, lead, and build sustainable careers without sacrificing themselves in the process.
As Evoke grows, we’re expanding our consulting bench and looking for an early-career HR professional to join us as a Junior HR Consultant.
This role is designed for someone who wants to build a consulting career — not just complete tasks. You’ll start with supported client work and have the opportunity to grow your own consulting practice under the Evoke umbrella over time.
The work
Junior HR Consultants support a range of HR consulting projects, including:
- Recruitment coordination and hiring support
- HR documentation and policy drafting
- Onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
- Project-based HR deliverables
- Research and benchmarking
- Fractional HR administration
- Operational HR support that directly improves workplaces
You will work closely with Evoke’s founder and consulting framework, gaining exposure to real client environments and practical HR problem-solving.
Evoke currently has approximately 10–15 hours per week of overflow work available. Consultants are encouraged and supported to grow their own client portfolio over time if they wish. This is a collaborative growth model — we want people who are excited to build something alongside us.
What to expect
- Initial workload of approximately 10–15 hours per week, with opportunity to grow as client work expands
- Flexible consulting structure — no guaranteed minimum hours
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with Evoke’s founder
- Exposure to a variety of industries and workplace challenges
- Clear quality standards and professional support
- Active support in developing consulting skills and client base
- Opportunity to grow responsibilities as the firm expands
- Competitive professional consulting rates reflective of experience
This is not a traditional job. It’s a consulting relationship built for professionals who want flexibility, growth, and meaningful work inside a supportive boutique firm.
Who you are
You’re someone who:
- has 2–4 years HR experience or equivalent early-career exposure
- writes clearly and communicates professionally
- is organized and reliable
- values learning and professional growth
- enjoys solving practical workplace problems
- is interested in building consulting capability
- takes feedback well and follows through
- is comfortable in a consulting environment
- is BC-based (Fraser Valley or Lower Mainland preferred)
Most importantly, you care about creating better workplaces and doing work that matters. If this sounds like your kind of opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
