Become a CNC Machine Operator at Harmonic Machine Inc.
Harmonic Machine Inc., located in Chilliwack, BC, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to support their MDT Manufacturing division. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to equipment care in a modern, team-oriented CNC environment.
The Role:
The CNC Machine Operator performs preventative maintenance and inspections on a variety of CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, and automated machinery. Working alongside the production team and senior technicians, the operator plays a key role in maintaining machine readiness and supporting overall shop efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct preventative maintenance on CNC machines
- Inspect equipment to identify wear or performance issues
- Assist with basic troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Clean and maintain machine components
- Document all maintenance tasks clearly and accurately
- Work closely with the production team to reduce downtime
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
The Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Basic knowledge of CNC systems and a willingness to grow technical skills
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Assets include:
- Experience with Haas, OKUMA, or FANUC CNC systems
- Knowledge of lubrication systems, alignment, and calibration
- Experience working with industrial or manufacturing equipment
Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time position
Wage: $25.00 per hour
